I was very surprised when I read that this Australian jazz piano trio has existed for 10 years. I've never heard of it before, the name of L.Swanton, the double-bass player of The Necks is well-known for me though))
This live recording was very nice, so I've listened to other their albums. They are versatile talented!
Their album "Fit" (2009) reflects their remarkable creative experimental capabilities the most fully, and although it didn't receive any prizes, I highly recommend to listen to it. Olga Kivius

Fresh and crisp with influences from all over the world. It's fun to listen to. Sounds like they are playing live together instead of recording one after the other. However, its brilliantly done, the energy is there. freejazzy

This is the 1st jazz album of this year which really has attracted my attention)
Long, variegated, sometimes groovy, sometimes soft & even free-improvised compositions, accompanied by absolutely the ideal large horn section (which is not so wild but wonderfully complicated and many-sided) take turns with small romantic miniatures with the leading piano, electric bass makes fusion & funk, 3 wonderful songs in different jazz styles (they are also unusually long) bring some fresh mood. Well-done! Olga Kivius
